About
Linnea Swarting is a professional dancer, dance teacher, arts administrator, writer, and model.
Currently, she is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and tours around the United States and Europe with Grand Kyiv Ballet. Previously, Linnea danced professionally with Los Angeles Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Georgia Dance Theatre, and The Washington Ballet. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School Program and competed her Certificate in Arts Management at the University of California Irvine.
As a writer, Linnea is a regular contributor to Pointe Magazine and created The Ballet Writer Blog as a platform for her dance writing.
With over 10 years of experience as a dance instructor, Linnea has taught ballet to students of all ages and levels- from creative movement to professional dancers. She has also led master classes at UCLA and Los Angeles Ballet's outreach program, and staged both classical and contemporary repertoire. While dancing with Nashville Ballet, she also co-founded "Adaptive Dance: New Perspectives," a dance class for students of all abilities at School of Nashville Ballet, and is passionate about making dance classes accessible to all.
Linnea has also worked as a model on commercial campaigns and art shoots. She has modeled for dance brands, boutiques, and clothing brands.
